What it does
Protealpes is a free nutrition workbench: 56 calculators (calories, protein, TDEE, macros, BMI, keto, activity burn, food-specific tools) plus AI tools that analyze meals from a photo or description. Unlike pages that hide the math behind a chat box, every calculator shows published formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor, activity factors, etc.). AI splits a meal into items, then maps them to a USDA-derived food table whenever a match exists — unmatched rows stay labeled estimated.

Get a calorie or protein number you can defend, then analyze the meal in front of you. Formulas stay visible. AI does not invent the math. Estimate a daily calorie target from body size, activity, and goal. Set a daily protein target from body weight and whether you are maintaining, training, building, or cutting. Split a calorie target into protein, carbohydrate, and fat grams. Upload a plate photo, describe what you ate, or both — then get calories and macros mapped to food data.
