QR Lume
Security Focused
What it does
QR Lume is a privacy‑first QR code analysis tool for iOS. It lets you safely inspect the contents of any QR code without opening the link or triggering external requests. Everything runs inside Apple’s native sandbox, and the app contains zero telemetry, no analytics, and no third‑party SDKs. QR Lume is built for people who regularly encounter unknown or suspicious QR codes and want a safe way to examine the underlying data before interacting with it.

We just open-sourced Lume - a tool we built after hitting walls with existing virtualization options on Apple Silicon. No GUI, no complex stacks - just a single binary that lets you spin up macOS or Linux VMs via CLI or API. Why we built Lume: - Run native macOS VMs in 1 command, using Apple Virtualization.Framework: `lume run macos-sequoia-vanilla:latest` - Prebuilt images on https://ghcr.io/trycua (macOS, Ubuntu on ARM) - API server to manage VMs programmatically `POST /lume/vms` - A python SDK on github.com/trycua/pylume Run prebuilt macOS images in just…

Hey HN, Lume is an open-source CLI for running macOS and Linux VMs on Apple Silicon. Since launch (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42908061), we've been using it to run AI agents in isolated macOS environments. We needed VMs that could set themselves up, so we built that. Here's what's new in 0.2: *Unattended Setup* – Go from IPSW to a fully configured VM without touching the keyboard. We built a VNC + OCR system that clicks through macOS Setup Assistant automatically. No more manual setup before pushing to a registry: lume create my-vm --os macos --ipsw latest…

- PAPayme, a library and CLI to generate QR codes for SEPA payments2024 · github.com · ▲38
I built this library and tool several years ago. Some event where I was a co-organizer needed pre-payment for the orders, and to make this easy without going the path of an online payment service, I sent automatic mails with payment QR codes included. The CLI also (by default) generates QR codes in the terminal, which I use often when an invoice needs to be paid: copy all necessary fields as CLI flags, generate the QR in the terminal, scan with the phone, double check everything and go! Maybe paying should not be this easy...

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
