QualityMax

AI QA that speaks your code, writes, runs, and heals tests

QualityMax launched on May 6, 2026 with 13 votes, #1,061 of 20,538 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches.

What it does

QualityMax turns specs, app crawls, and repo context into runnable Playwright, pytest, Go, Rust, and k6 test suites. Run them in cloud, locally, or CI with traces, gates, artifacts, and self-healing. qmax-code brings the QA agent into Codex and Claude Code workflows.

Generate, run, and self-heal Playwright tests with AI. QualityMax adds independent quality gates and review for teams shipping AI-generated code.

Not another AI testing tool. An agentic test harness with deterministic guardrails — crawl, generate, execute, gate, trace, and heal — so code written by agents is reviewed by an independent system. Tests from repos, docs, specs, and live apps — in minutes, not sprints. Functional, security, and quality checks before every merge. Bad code doesn't ship. When the UI changes, tests repair themselves. No maintenance debt, no flaky suite. Attack your own chatbots for prompt injection, jailbreaks, and PII leakage before users do. Claude, Codex, Antigravity, or Opencode. In one autonomous run your agent discovers what's broken, writes production-ready tests across Playwright, Jest, Pytest, Go,…from qualitymax.io

Hi, I'm Daniel, CEO of QA.tech. We've spent the past 18 months developing a cool tool that allows you to run end-to-end tests on any web application using natural language. Check it out and let us know what you think! I used to be a CTO at a B2C marketplace and was taken aback that all qa agencies we talked to wanted to create a custom suite of tests from scratch. Even though we were essentially a e-com with the same functionality as everyone else. Why weren't there any best practices? Some time later my co-founders and I had moved on and were looking for the next thing to do. AI agents…

Qwen3.8-Max + MCP for coding on your local machine, without paying for Qwen Code. Qwen3.8-Max itself runs in the cloud through Qwen Studio — this setup just gives it access to your local files and terminal through MCP. My take: it is slower than Codex and Claude Code, especially in thinking mode, but it does work well. MCP adds some latency too since there’s an extra layer between the model and your machine. In fast mode, it gets noticeably closer. I wouldn’t put it in the same category as Fable or Opus-5. Personally, I’d place it closer to the next Opus 4.7 level in terms of coding ability.…

I built an AI agent that can do mobile app QA after working at Google for years and waiting weeks for QA results. It runs on real devices and uses an ensemble of agents (including computer use) to test like a human. Happy to answer questions and hope it helps app devs ship faster without bugs!

  • Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
