In plain words

CryptoPlace is a blockchain-based art experiment inspired by Reddit's /r/place. Users collaborate on a 100x100 pixel canvas where each pixel's color is determined by Bitcoin transactions. Each pixel has 16 associated Bitcoin addresses representing different colors, and whichever address receives the most funds determines that pixel's final color. The project is for cryptocurrency enthusiasts and digital artists interested in exploring decentralized, community-driven creative experiences.

On April 1st 2017, Reddit unleashed /r/place to the world. I like to think of it as a modern art experiment. A user could change the color of a single pixel on a canvas every 5 minutes. This is what came out of it: A similar experiment happened in 2005 when a student sold pixels on a canvas to fund his university education. It was dubbed The Million Dollar Homepage . More on that here . The experiment starts with a 100x100 grid, each pixel having 16 BTC addresses attached to it, one for each possible color. The address with the most bitcoin received, decides the color of the pixel. Let’s look at the pixel at coordinates [45,52]. The green color of that pixel has the address…from mess110.github.io

Hi HN, This is a site where users can submit content and the shortest SHA256 value of nonce+content among them will make the site display the content. Very basic, without a blockchain. It's a static site with WebRTC and peer-to-peer. Why? I wanted r/place (Reddit canvas where users collaborate on a pixel grid), but with proof of work. This is my progress so far. It's a WebRTC app with peer to peer connectivity that forwards the best hashed values to other users, which verify them, display them and pass them on. There are many many improvements to be done (especially I should probably…
