Radiant Canvas
Private, local AI image generation for Mac
What it does
Radiant Canvas is a native macOS app for generating images locally with Krea 2 Turbo. Everything runs on your Apple silicon Mac, so prompts and images stay private and generation works offline after setup. It includes a local gallery, prompt history, reusable settings, multiple aspect ratios, Fast mode, ML Super Resolution, PNG export, and custom LoRA/LoKr support. No account, ads, analytics, tracking, or cloud image generation.
Create AI images locally on your Apple silicon Mac. Compare six model options, build Studio workflows, and work offline after download. Free with optional PRO.
Radiant Canvas is a free local AI image generator for Apple silicon Macs. Compare six model options in Simple or build visual workflows in Studio. Generate offline after downloading a model, with no account, cloud credits, or prompt uploads. *FLUX.2 Klein 4B, 1024 × 1024, Fast mode, tested on an M5 Max MacBook Pro with 48 GB unified memory. Times vary by Mac and settings. Select the models you want to test and start once. Radiant Canvas generates the same prompt with each model and places the results side by side, so you can choose the strongest result without switching apps or repeating your setup. The six downloadable options come from five model families. Krea 2 Turbo is available in Q8…from radiantbeargames.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
