RAFT Energy

Turbocharge biogas plants with patented activated biochar

What it does

Biogas plants run well below their potential — not bad infrastructure, just unsolved biology. ActiCH4R™ fixes that. Raft Energy's patented biochar additive supercharges microbial activity inside digesters. Same waste, significantly more methane. Up to 10x more efficient than anything on the market. No new infrastructure needed. Started in a garden shed, now scaling globally. Founding team: 9 exits, a decade in renewables.

    An API for CO₂ Removal2022 · docs.cdrplatform.com · ▲94

Hi all, We're Fabienne and Ewan of Climacrux. Today we're proud to launch our latest project to try and make carbon dioxide removal as accessible as possible: CDR Platform [1]. In short: it’s an API to connect to a portfolio of carbon removers. You can purchase from as low as a single gram and select from both natural and technological removal methods. Longer: A couple of years ago we launched an alternative to carbon credits, Carbon Removed[2], designed for individuals to buy and subscribe to CDR. But we always had the nagging thought that there was more that could be done. CDR Platform is…

See the carbon impact of your cloud as you codeJan 2026 · dashboard.infracost.io · ▲67

Hey folks, I’m Hassan, one of the co-founders of Infracost (https://www.infracost.io). Infracost helps engineers see and reduce the cloud cost of each infrastructure change before they merge their code. The way Infracost works is we gather pricing data from Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. What we call a ‘Pricing Service’, which now holds around 9 million live price points (!!). Then we map these prices to infrastructure code. Once the mapping is done, it enables us to show the cost impact of a code change before it is merged, directly in GitHub, GitLab etc.…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
