ReadMyStatement

See where the money you spent actually went

What it does

Upload a bank statement PDF and get told in plain English where the money went. No bank login, nothing stored. Works with banks worldwide.

Upload the bank or credit card statement you already have. We read it and show you what you spent it on — in plain English. Why we don't ask you to connect your bank. Every other budgeting app needs your banking credentials through a service like Plaid — which is why they only work in a handful of countries. A PDF is a PDF. If your bank can give you a statement, we can read it. From your bank's app or website, as a PDF. It's usually filed under Statements or Documents. This is the file your bank already gives you. It's read in memory and never written to our disks. We don't ask who you are, and there's nothing to sign up for. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
