Relatable

Anonymous stories. Someone will relate.

What it does

Relatable is where real people share anonymous stories about grief, anxiety, loneliness, divorce, addiction, chronic illness, and more. No name. No followers. No comments. Just honest writing and the quiet relief of knowing someone else has been there too. When someone hits "Relatable" on your story, you get a notification. That small moment — someone on the other side of the internet saying me too — is what we're built around.

Divorce, grief, anxiety, job loss, addiction — whatever you

Anonymous. No followers. No algorithms. Just people who understand. Relatable is a place where people who are hurting can read real stories from others who have been there — and feel less alone. When something resonates, you can reach out privately. Anonymous usernames, no profiles, no followers. Just stories, and the quiet relief of not being alone in yours. "Nobody tells you about the grocery store. About standing in the cereal aisle for ten minutes because you saw her favorite crackers and suddenly you couldn't move. It's been eight months. I thought I'd be further along by now. But grief doesn't work like that. Some Tuesdays are harder than the funeral was." Suggest a category…from relatable.care

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
