rmBug
Know exactly who's in your databases
What it does
rmBug is built by the people who actually understand and have lived through the problem in the past. It starts with database access and related functionality for sure, but will expand into making sure all your data is as secure as it can be, all while keeping user (and developer) experience top priority. We have the features, but don't compete on features at all - we compete on making your life easier and more secure, without the associated expensive price-tag.

We've been building things together for a long time. LEGO first, then software. Across every company and project since, one thing kept showing up: database access security was broken. Not always dramatically. Sometimes it was the budget. Sometimes months of convincing. Sometimes just a quiet burden nobody talked about. Support staff with access to every customer's financial data. Engineers who left but somehow still had credentials. A "temporary" password living in Confluence or floating around in Slack DMs. It's 2026 and this is still the default. Solutions cost time and money, usually…

DrawDB – open-source online database diagram editor (a retro)2025 · drawdb.app · ▲263One year ago I open-sourced my very first 'real' project and shared it here. I was a college student in my senior year and desperately looking for a job. At the time of sharing it i couldn't even afford a domain and naively let someone buy the one i had my eyes on lol. It's been a hell of a year with this blowing up, me moving to another country, and switching 2 jobs. In a year we somehow managed to hit 26k stars, grow a 1000+ person discord community, and support 37 languages. I couldn't be more grateful for the community that helped this grow, but now i don't know what direction to take…

Hey HN, For years, my local development setup has been a fragile mess of tools that never quite played nicely together. On my mac, it was a constant battle with Homebrew services starting (or not starting) on boot, conflicting PHP and Node versions managed by `asdf` or `nvm`, and a collection of `docker-compose.yml` files that I'd copy-paste and tweak for every single project. The cognitive load was just too high. Setting up SSL was another chore involving `mkcert`. Sharing a quick demo with a colleague meant firing up ngrok. And if I wanted to run two projects that needed different versions…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
