RowLoom
trim, standardize dates/numbers, drop empty rows in CSV
RowLoom launched on August 6, 2026 with 1 votes, #11,494 of 23,274 launches that month.
What it does
Cleaning rules go well past trim/format-dates now: phone number formatting, currency-symbol stripping, boolean normalization, value mapping, splitting one source column into two fields, and combining two source columns into one (debit/credit split-column merges, sign-indicator merges). Every run also produces a downloadable report of exactly which rows were skipped and why.
Turn messy CSVs into the format you need — trim whitespace, fix number and date formats, and download a clean file. Free, no install required.
Supplier lists, bank exports, client spreadsheets - upload one, tell RowLoom what "clean" means for you, and download a file with trimmed values, consistent number, date, and phone formats, merged or split columns, and no blank rows. No install, no macros to maintain. Drop in a CSV. We read the header row and the first few rows so you can see exactly what you're working with. Match columns to a target format, or just pick quick per-column fixes - trim, force 2 decimals, standardize dates, format phone numbers, strip currency symbols, normalize booleans, map values, even combine or split columns. Get the cleaned file back in seconds, plus a report of any rows that were skipped and why.…from rowloom.com

Magic CSV – Transform CSVs with plain English, no formulasDec 2025 · magiccsv.app · ▲17I built a tool that lets you describe CSV transformations in plain English and get clean data back. Upload a CSV, type something like "split address into street, city, state, zip" or "standardize all dates to YYYY-MM-DD", and it does it. I built this because I kept seeing people struggle with the same repetitive spreadsheet tasks—date formatting, splitting columns, cleaning up phone numbers—and reaching for Python or formulas when they just wanted the data fixed. It's free to try: https://magiccsv.app Would love feedback on what transformations people actually need. What's the…

CSV CleanerFeb 2026 · csv-cleaner.com · ▲3Hi HN, I built a small utility to clean up messy CSV exports without opening Excel or writing pandas scripts. Upload a CSV → preview → choose columns to dedupe → normalize/trim → download the cleaned file. Free tier, no signup required for basic use. Stack: -Lovable for the app -Supabase (auth, Postgres, storage, edge functions) -Stripe for subscriptions/day passes Processing runs server-side; I kept the architecture intentionally simple and low-ops. Would love feedback on UX, edge cases, or features you’d want. Website: https://csv-cleaner.com/

Clipto MCP▲655Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
