Rowly

Security Scanner for Vibe-Codded Apps

What it does

Rowly checks your app for the kind of stuff a non security person wouldn't think to look for, and it's cheap for what it does. You just paste in your domain and it tells you plainly what's wrong and how to fix it. Figured I'd share since a lot of us building with AI are in the same boat. It's free to run a check, and Pro is half price until end of month if you want it monitoring ongoing. https://rowly.me

Rowly is a free security scanner for vibe-coded apps. Give it a domain and it checks your database and stack for leaks - no password needed.

Type your domain. Rowly looks at your vibe-coded app exactly the way a stranger would - no login, no invite, no database password - and tells you in plain English what they can see, what they can change, and how to fix it. No account needed. No database password, ever - we only check what's publicly exposed. Most security tools ask for a database password before they tell you anything. Rowly never does - it only ever looks at what is already reachable from the public internet, the same way an attacker would. Rowly reads your site's own public homepage and JavaScript to work out what it runs on - Supabase or Firebase, Vercel, Netlify or AWS, and the AI builder you shipped with - then checks…from rowly.me

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
