Say hello to Instatus, my first app
Hello, here's my first app on the App Store, a week end project I've made with a friend. I had the idea - questionable - and did the UI. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/instatus/id622077531?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D2 (there's also the free version) The concept it's pretty simple, share your thoughts on Instagram, only words on white background so it will seems that your words will float into your friends feed - I suggest to not use any filter! - got already some ideas for future upgrades. I'm giving away 3 code to get the full version, if you want one, just ask! Best, Filippo p.s. This message…

Hey there, First time posting on Hacker News in about 2 years! The reason I’m posting is that I thought I’d write about the product I’ve been building, in hopes it resonates with people. Why build yet another social app? Because I deleted almost all social media around 3/4 years ago as it was just net negative on my life. There was very little that was truly interesting, I didn’t care about looking good to other people and because of the ‘media’ and ads, the apps were all designed to make me spend too much time for what I was getting. I hated it and what it meant for people’s behaviour,…
Review my new project2013 · youtube.com · ▲5Hello HN! I just launched a new social iPhone game called "unun". It's like drawsomething but in a puzzle way. You can also animate your puzzle and message your friend during the game. Would definitely enjoy any feedback so I can make it better! Feel free to check out the demo video and download it from appstore. Demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8aPmDej65s Download: https://itunes.apple.com/hk/app/unun/id555254223?mt=8
I made a crossword app for language learnersApr 2026 · cranki.app · ▲8Hi HN! In the last couple of weeks I've been working on Cranki: Cranki = Crosswords + Anki. (It's a stupid name tbh, haha) I like doing crosswords in Spanish (to learn vocab) but none of the apps out there allowed me to use my own list of words that I come across. So I built one instead. It's entirely client-side. No server, no database, no accounts, etc. Your words and stats are stored in local storage. I built this for myself but let me know if you like it!

Quickpost2025 · qqpost.netlify.app · ▲10Hi HN, I’ve been building a small social network where the feed is always chronological — newest posts come first, always. It’s not 100% algorithm-free (there’s still basic filtering to avoid spam or abuse), but the core idea is that every user has a real chance to be seen, even with zero followers. It’s lightweight, works well on mobile, and supports both posts and comments. Most of the content is currently in Portuguese, since it started with a Brazilian audience, but the interface is mostly language-neutral. I’d love any feedback on the concept, UX, performance, or anything else. Thanks!
Yuki2025 · howtoflirt.co · ▲12Hey everyone, I want to show you my iOS app. For the past 8 months I worked on this revamp and the app was approved on the App Store two days ago on the first go. How did I come up with the idea? Last year while I was looking for a new app to build I found lots of Reddit posts where people were asking about "How to practice flirting" or "How to flirt". Most of the posts had a ton of engagement and I thought that it might be a good opportunity to build an app which helps people with this problem. The first version of the app was not great, but I got 4 customers and made $94. Two paid monthly…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
