Scripton is a new kind of Python IDE. It includes built-in realtime visualization capabilities that allow you to generate rich interactive plots and graphics straight from your Python scripts without installing any additional libraries.
Scripton is a powerful yet easy to use Python IDE. It includes rich visualization and AI features.
Scripton is a new kind of Python development environment that brings features like built-in visualizations, UIs, and interactive execution to regular .py scripts. Run your scripts and view your plots and visualizations right within the IDE. Works with built-in interactive plotting toolkits (based on Observable Plot and Plotly ) as well as existing popular libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and PIL. Scripton includes a special Python REPL that's designed to be a natural extension of your coding environment. Scripton includes a custom Python debugger designed to be unobtrusive yet powerful, helping you investigate issues faster and analyze code more effectively. Scripton's built-in UI…from scripton.dev

Scripton – Python IDE with built-in realtime visualizations2025 · scripton.dev · ▲449Hey HN, Scripton (https://scripton.dev) is a Python IDE built for fast, interactive visualizations and exploratory programming — without the constraints of notebooks. Why another Python IDE? Scripton hopes to fill a gap in the Python development ecosystem by being an IDE that: 1. Focuses on easy, fast, and interactive visualizations (and exposes rich JS plotting libraries like Observable Plot and Plotly directly to Python) 2. Provides a tightly integrated REPL for rapid prototyping and exploration 3. Is script-centric (as opposed to, say, notebook-style) A historical detour for why…

A Spatial Environment for Python2022 · python.natto.dev · ▲169Hi all! A little background: I've been working on natto.dev, a spatial environment for JavaScript. I'm really excited about new interfaces for code (leveraging metaphors we're good at, spatial reasoning, making state visible, design tools, etc). With all the buzz around PyScript, I discovered Pyodide and got it working inside natto. This Python version is a stripped down version of https://natto.dev (eg interactive outputs, multiplayer) so please check that out if this interests you. I'm excited to share this spatial environment for Python. Imagine Jupyter cells arranged on a 2D…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

- TITetris in a PDF▲1,289
I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

21st.dev▲1,211I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
