Search engine for software eng blogs and technical content

Sodha is a micro search engine focused on software engineering with an index hand-curated(ish) with several hundred blogs and resources. The motivation behind it is that there is a lot of great content written by engineers in personal/company blogs, niche websites, and even by big tech in some of their more obscure doc/devrel pages. And I wanted a way to quickly access that by topic. Vaguely inspired by ArxivSanity and HackerNews :) I've only been working on this for a couple of weeks, but would love to get your thoughts HN! Some ideas I have (beyond indexing more pages) are:…

In plain words

Sodha is a search engine designed for software engineers to discover technical content from personal blogs, company publications, and technical documentation. It indexes several hundred hand-curated sources covering software engineering topics. The tool helps engineers quickly find quality content that might otherwise be scattered across niche websites and obscure documentation pages, similar to ArxivSanity and HackerNews. It targets developers seeking focused access to technical writing by topic.

I built a search engine for engineering blogs because I was tired of manually checking individual company blogs to find real-world production examples. The problem: When learning a new technology, the best insights often come from how companies like Google, Meta, or Stripe actually implement it in production. But these gems are scattered across dozens of separate engineering blogs with no way to search across them. What I built: Engineering.fyi indexes engineering blogs from ~15 companies (Google, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Uber, etc.) and makes them searchable in one place. You can…

Hi HN, I am Jiayuan, and I'm here to introduce a tool we've been building over the past few months: Devv (https://devv.ai). In simple terms, it is an AI-powered search engine specifically designed for developers. Now, you might ask, with so many AI search engines already available—Perplexity, You.com, Phind, and several open-source projects—why do we need another one? We all know that Generative Search Engines are built on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)[1] combined with Large Language Models (LLMs). Most of the products mentioned above use indexes from general search engines…

Hello, My name is Yahia, I've been working on scraping products for a long time and maintain a couple of free sites in my spare time (E.g. knifegeek.io) What prompted this is i've rebuilt scraping infra at every company I've started and finally just made it a product. Pass a URL, get clean markdown, html, images, sitemap or pass a domain, get logos, colors, socials, industry data. Goal is to offer a better service than VC funded competitors at a fraction of the cost. Stealth is included and automatic at no additional cost (normally an upcharge by alternatives). Would love your honest thoughts.
