Segurium
Free malware removal for hacked WordPress sites
What it does
Site hacked? Segurium finds the malicious code, strips it out, and puts your original file back. The free tier includes 3 cloud cleanups per rolling 30 days. Detection runs against a continuously updated cloud verdict database and catches injected code hiding inside legitimate plugin and theme files, not just uploaded shells. Cleaned files keep an encrypted one-click-restore backup. 2FA, firewall, geo-blocking, brute force protection and security headers are free on every install.
WordPress security that catches malware on the site, including injected code inside otherwise-legitimate plugin and theme files, and cleans it precisely without risks of downtime.
Segurium catches malware on the site, including injected code inside otherwise-legitimate plugin and theme files. Modified core, plugin, and theme files are restored to canonical upstream content; injections come out without touching the file's legitimate functionality, so there is no risk of downtime through every cleanup. Three things happen on every cleanup. None of them involves guessing what the file should look like. Cryptographically verified end-to-end. No guessing, no partial fixes, no silent swap-in of tampered bytes. When malware lives inside a file that is otherwise legitimate, only the injection comes out. The file keeps doing the job it was supposed to do. Backdoors, droppers,…from segurium.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
