Semantic Search for Confluence Workspace
Hello Hacker News! I built Sleuth, an open source search tool for your workspace. I originally started off with Slack but quickly learned that Confluence search is a well documented problem: https://twitter.com/beajammingh/status/1273742155731791872?s... Hello Hacker News! I built Sleuth, an open source search tool for your workspace. I originally started off with Slack but quickly learned that Confluence search is a well documented problem: https://twitter.com/beajammingh/status/1273742155731791872?s... Sleuth solves this problem using semantic search to find relevant Confluence pages and Slack messages for your query. You can ask Sleuth questions about HR policies, technical documentation, product decisions, and more. Sleuth is open source and can be self-hosted, although there are dependencies on OpenAI and Pinecone (which will be swapped out for open-source alternatives for larger orgs with regulatory constraints). Feel free to reach out in our Slack group if you're interested in using Sleuth in your workspace: https://join.slack.com/t/sleuthworld/shared_invite/zt-1n3iw8... https://www.loom.com/share/4d3ab63edf9146fab9fcf15befb733b2

- VAVpuna AI Search – A semantic search platform2025 · aisearch.vpuna.com · ▲9
Dear HN Community, I am a long time fan and first-time contributor. I just launched a developer focused semantic search platform and wanted to share it with the community. The idea is simple: upload structured or unstructured documents, select the fields you want to index and tag as metadata, and instantly get a clean search API you can use in your own app. Here is what it currently supports: - Manage your own tenants and projects - Upload .json and .txt files (support for .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .yml, etc. coming soon) - Expose 3 APIs: search, upload document (embeddings), and delete document -…
- SMSourcerer – MCP for semantic code search that reduces token waste2025 · github.com · ▲9
I built this because I got tired of watching Claude Code read through massive files just to find a few functions. Sourcerer lets AI agents search code semantically and grab exactly the code chunks they need instead of burning tokens on whole files. It uses tree-sitter to parse your codebase and creates a searchable index. So instead of "read auth.py (538 lines)", an agent can search for "user authentication logic" and get back just the relevant functions. This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. Here are some examples of transformations it can make: Golden gate bridge: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry/ma... Girl with a pearl earring: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry/ma... I integrated this new InstructPix2Pix model into imaginAIry (python library) so it's easy to use for python developers.

The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
