What it does

Sentrint scans the GitHub repo behind an app you built with Claude, Cursor, Bolt, v0 or any of the 16 AI coding tools it supports. It checks the code for hardcoded secrets, database access rules, vulnerable dependencies and risky code paths. An AI review then rechecks a capped number of findings against your code to cut false positives. You get a score out of 100, each finding in plain English, and a fix prompt written for the tool that built the app. Apply the fix and scan again to see what changed. It reads code only: it does not run your app or test the live site. AI-written code can pass every test and still leak secrets, leave your database open or skip login checks. Hey everyone, My friend and I built a simple bug fixing app that listens for alerts/issues from Sentry, contextualizes it against your codebase, and any other data sources you wish to connect (right now we support Notion, Google Docs, and Slack), and deploys an ai agent to write a PR for review in Github or Gitlab to solve the bug. Our current demo shows the end-to-end process for a trivial bug fix, but we have been testing it with open source python repos like http-pie, comparing how our agent solves a bug compared to a human engineer and it gets fairly close. We are working on adding…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

  • Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
