What it does

A tiny open-source macOS utility for Codex users. Shake your mouse anywhere to open a lightweight local assistant at the cursor. Ask daily questions, draw a short fortune, or turn clear time text into macOS Calendar events.

Shake Cursor is an install-and-use macOS utility that turns a quick mouse shake into a local Codex life assistant with realtime, non-repeating fortunes.

Install Shake Cursor, hide it in the background, then shake anywhere. A lightweight Codex assistant appears near your cursor to draw a realtime fortune, answer a daily question, or create a calendar event from plain text. No custom backend. Fortunes are generated by your local Codex session from time, cursor trigger, and available memory. Open once, hide to background, then shake in any direction to summon it.   Hi HN, Francesco from Cua here. I hacked this project together last weekend, inspired by the Codex Computer-Use release and lessons learned from deploying GUI-operating agents for our customers. The main problem: when a UI automation process controls a desktop app today, it usually takes over the human’s session.
