Shift Pay Calculator & Roster
Plan shifts, estimate pay and sync rosters across devices
What it does
Shift Pay helps shift workers plan normal, overnight and rotating rosters, estimate earnings from the rates and breaks they enter, scan roster images on-device, run a live-shift timer, and export PDF/CSV timesheets. Android works without an account; optional Google sign-in syncs supported data with the web dashboard. Estimates are for planning, not official payroll, tax or financial advice.
Plan shifts and rotating rosters, estimate earnings, scan roster images and export timesheets with Shift Pay Calculator for Android.
Build rosters, scan schedule images, track live shifts and see clear earnings estimates based on the pay rules you enter. Works offline. Google sign-in is optional for supported Android and web sync. Review shifts detected on your device before adding them to the calendar. Use your own rates, overtime rules, unpaid breaks, allowances and mileage. Create weekly patterns and repeating work cycles without rebuilding each month. Start a timer, keep it visible in a notification and save the completed shift. Compare recorded shifts and estimates with detected payslip details. Create PDF or CSV timesheets and export shifts to your device calendar. Shift Pay is a planning utility. Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
