ShipmentBeat
Ocean container tracking in one workspace
What it does
ShipmentBeat is a prepaid workspace for ocean container tracking. Freight teams track bills of lading, containers, and bookings in one place — status, vessel, ETA, and exceptions — instead of hopping between carrier portals and spreadsheets. Track from $0.50 per container, capped at $2 per shipment. Sign up with 50 free credits, no card. Copy a demo shipment and verify it on the carrier's own site. REST API and signed webhooks, no sales call.
Track containers, bills of lading, or booking numbers across ocean carriers in one workspace. Status, ETA, and detention risk — verifiable against the carrier. From $0.50 per container, capped at $2 per shipment. 100 free credits, no card.
Ocean container tracking you can see and check: status, ETA, and detention risk — live through the voyage, including transshipment. Verify any shipment on the carrier's site. From $0.50 per container, capped at $2 per shipment — no subscription. Open a container or B/L and see the route, the vessel, and the milestones you can check on the carrier's site. Real shipment — copy this number and check it on Maersk's site. Delayed ETAs, stalled transshipments, and free-time at risk sit at the top. The rest of the fleet stays quiet until something changes. Transshipment is where container tracking breaks down: the box is discharged at a hub, sits anywhere from two days to three weeks, and most…from shipmentbeat.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
