Shopify Feed Checker

Find the dead product pages on any Shopify store, free

What it does

Every Shopify store publishes its whole catalogue at /products.json with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, which means a static page can audit any store with no backend at all. This is that. One HTML file on GitHub Pages, no server, no analytics, nothing leaves your browser. It flags published products where every variant is out of stock. Those pages stay indexed, keep taking ad clicks, and keep getting submitted to Google Shopping, where out-of-stock items are suppressed rather than sold.

Find out-of-stock products still live on any Shopify store, and why they get disapproved in Google Merchant Center. Reads the public products.json feed in your browser. Free, no signup, no app install.

Paste any Shopify store URL. You get back every published product that is completely out of stock but still live — plus ten other things that quietly break shopping feeds. Your browser reads the store's public product feed directly. The catalogue data never touches a server of ours, and no account is involved. Every Shopify store publishes its catalogue at /products.json . It needs no login and no API key, and it is the same file Google Shopping, Meta catalogues and marketplace importers already read. This page asks your browser to fetch that file and counts what is in it. No server of ours touches the catalogue. Which store you scan and what it found stay in your browser — we never receive…from coughins.github.io

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
