Showcase of bad UX

In plain words

Grumpy Website is a collection documenting examples of poor user experience design. It highlights confusing interface patterns, such as primary buttons disguised as text inputs, inappropriate use of visual contrast, and problematic hover animations that distract rather than inform. The site serves as a reference for designers and developers seeking to understand what not to do when building digital products.

nikitonsky: Interesting that the biggest, most contrast button on this page is not the primary button. The primary button (!) is this construct in the middle that looks like a text input. nikitonsky: Okay here’s the thing that worries me about animating hovers. On the left, when you move your mouse, the element under it reacts. It’s a menu item saying “Hey, I see your cursor, I am ready!” On the right, it feels like hover is attached to your mouse, and you move it over menu items. Basically it’s just a larger cursor. I vastly prefer the version on the left. I think the right is incorrect, confusing, and doesn’t do what it’s supposed to: indicate the element’s interactivity. nikitonsky: Very…from grumpy.website
