Showrunner
Create animated shows and scenes
Showrunner launched on August 21, 2025 with 6 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Showrunner is an AI-powered platform that lets anyone craft animated TV shows from text prompts. The AI writes, animates, voices, edits, and produces episodes. Backed by Amazon; early access now via Discord. 🔗 showrunner.xyz
Make the show only you could make. Explore AI-powered shows, watch episodes on the web, and create your own stories in Showrunner Studio.
Write a scene, get an episode. Showrunner Studio's unique AI takes what you write and turns it into something you can watch. It's built to grow a story, not spit out one-off clips. Start a show in any genre or world, and Showrunner helps you shape it into a season. Down some back alley, a ripperdoc is still open. A biomechanic who installs experiences directly into the mind, no questions asked. Step in and take the controls. The doctor and the clinic are yours. You bring the client, and the secret that walked in with them. Publish straight from Showrunner Studio and fans step into your world. Viewers can branch the canon and write the next episode while you keep canonical control. Editorial…from showrunnerstudio.com

Warning: this whole post is a blatant plug for my Open Source project https://github.com/etiennesillon/ModelRunner There is lot of discussion around no code platforms and why developers don’t like them. My view is that they can be very useful to quickly get through the boring parts of a project, like creating master data management screens for example. So I’ve built my own version which interprets models at run time and, it turns out, understands natural language queries too! Hi, my name is Etienne, I love coding and I’ve been doing it for a few decades now so I’d rather…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
