Cloud Engineering Collaboration Platform for SolidWorks
What it does
Sibe.io launches a next-generation Engineering Collaboration Platform for SolidWorks teams, combining CAD document management, version control, revision workflows, and secure design collaboration in a cloud-native solution. Built to replace the complexity of traditional PDM systems, Sibe empowers distributed engineering teams to collaborate faster and bring products to market more efficiently.
Cloud-based Engineering Collaboration Platform for SolidWorks Teams. Version Control. Design Reviews. Approval Workflows. Browser-based 3D CAD Collaboration.
Manage CAD documents & BOMs, review & approve revisions, and collaborate on 3D designs with a cloud-based Engineering Collaboration Platform purpose-built for SolidWorks. No servers, no VPNs, no admin hassles. Quick setup in under 20 minutes. “We're remote. The designer is in Philadelphia, our CTO is in Miami, and I'm in Austin. We needed a way to design, review, and release without everyone sitting in the same place — or even in the same software.” Cloud-based by design, so you can focus on what you do best, and forget about unnecessary costs and complex operations. Control versions without leaving SolidWorks via the Sibe native add-in, and forget about accidental overwrites. Track…from sibe.io

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
