What it does

Comment on your rendered markdown site like a Google Doc. An LLM resolves the comments into a clean git diff. You never leave the browser. sidenote is a review layer for content authors. You review your own site on the local dev server, select a passage, and leave a comment, exactly like commenting in Google Docs or Word. A local coding agent ( claude or codex ) either answers your question in place or patches the source markdown and hands you back a git diff to accept or reject. It is not an editor . You annotate intent; the agent makes the edit. Source markdown stays the source of truth. 1. Select a passage on your rendered page and write what you want changed. My partner usually writes substack posts which I then mirror to our website’s blog section. To automate this, I made a simple tool to scrape the post and clean it so that I can drop it to our blog easily. This might be useful to others as well. Oh and ofcourse you can instruct GPT to make any final edits :D

I started this in January as a hook for Claude Code's plan mode: when it finished planning, instead of approving a wall of text in the terminal, the plan opens in your browser and you could mark it up like a document. Your annotations go back into the agent session. It grew from there. There's now PR-style code review (git, jj, p4, GitHub/GitLab PRs) and annotation for markdown, URLs, and folders. Agents produce a lot of HTML now, so Plannotator renders those artifacts and lets you annotate them too. Nine harnesses are supported: Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Gemini, OpenCode, Kiro,…

I built a browser extension called Gitcasso which: - Adds markdown syntax highlighting to GitHub textareas - Lists every open PR/issue tab and any drafts - (Optional, unimplemented) autosaves your comment drafts so you don’t lose work I made it because I was impressed by https://overtype.dev/ (a markdown textarea syntax highlighter) which went big on here on HN a few weeks ago, and it seemed like a perfect fit for a GitHub browser extension. Keeping up with changes on upstream GitHub would normally be a pain, but with with Playwright and Claude Code it seemed possible for…

I might be the only SRE on Earth with his own bowling center. It's a more in-depth gig than you'd think. My family and I bought an abandoned 8-lane bowling center in the rural mid-west. In our small town there weren't many recreation options for families. You've heard of a food desert? This is an R&R desert. It had been abandoned for a good reason. The roof leaks, the electrical system was constantly surging, and my 70-year-old bowling equipment (still) doesn't work perfectly. The system that keeps your score is particularly interesting to me. It's the thing you watch during your game, but…

Over the past few months, our team has been building more and more slidedecks using web frontend technologies with coding harnesses like Claude Code, but a common complaint is to make even small edits we need to edit the code either manually or via the harness. To avoid this loop, I ended up creating Bento, a single HTML file with everything you need in a slide tool including animations and shared editing. There's no install or cloud login, everything works offline. The default deck is around 560 KB and it doesn't need to fetch anything once you got it. Open it in a browser and then you can…

  • A few days ago I found myself trying out GLM 5.2 and was really positively impressed. The capabilities and security I was getting from this LLM are similar to those I've gotten from models like Claude or GPT, and this really surprised me. But then I thought, "I wonder how it would work on a normal computer like mine," and above all, "I wonder if it would work without going into OOM on a computer like mine." So I started working with the help of agents to test this possibility. I started converting the model to int4, understanding MTP usage, and if possible implementing DSA for long context.…

Hello! For the last 2 months, I've been building OpenSEO. It's a user friendly UI wrapping the DataForSEO API which has high quality SEO data for keywords, backlinks, AI SEO and competitor research. Instead of paying $100+ per month, you buy DataForSEO credits and pay only for usage. The coolest thing about the project so far has been hearing about what people are building on top of it. People are using coding agents to quickly integrate with Google Search Console, Google Ads and building their own AI SEO and reporting features. Many were already building their own custom solutions around…
