What it does
Silent is a $3.99 one-time iOS health tracker with an AI coach that runs entirely on your iPhone via Apple Intelligence. Calories, habits, fasting, sleep, weight - one tool, no subscription, no servers, no data leaving your device.
Track calories, habits, fasting, sleep, and more. Private on-device AI. No account, no subscription. Free to try, $9.99 once.
Type what you ate and Silent does the math. Habits, fasting and stats included. Try it free for 7 days, then $9.99 once. No subscription. Silent brings the signals you already care about into one calm, private view. Nothing competes for attention. "2 eggs, avocado toast and a large latte" becomes three items with calories, protein, carbs, and fat in a second. Common foods come from a built-in USDA-based table, so the numbers are real, not guesses. Four steps: set calories, set protein, split the rest between fat and carbs, then log. A worked example in grams, and how close is close enough. Type "2 eggs, toast and a latte" and get calories and macros per item. When typing beats barcode…from silentgrowth.app

Smart Silence – Remind your iPhone to stay quiet in quiet places2025 · testflight.apple.com · ▲55Hi HN, I built an iPhone app called *Smart Silence* after sitting in a quiet setting (a service, actually) where someone’s phone rang loudly and interrupted everything. It wasn’t intentional — just one of those forgetful moments. I started wondering: what if our phones could gently remind us to stay silent when it matters? *Smart Silence* helps iPhone users do just that. It lets you: - Mark places where silence is expected (like libraries, meetings, classes, or houses of worship) - Get a reminder when you enter, with an easy Shortcut to enable Do Not Disturb - Schedule quiet times (e.g.…

Clipto MCP▲655Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
