Sitemapper

Website change intelligence for production safety

What it does

Sitemapper watches production websites and compares each trusted crawl with the last. It surfaces changes to sitemap inventory, indexability, HTTP status, canonicals, robots access, and critical journeys—then explains why a change matters and what to check next. A free public survey works without signup; monitoring, incident history, alerts, CI guardrails, API access, and Search Console support are available in the app. Built around preserved evidence, not invented impact.

Website change detection and safety. Free public check, then monitor pages, search visibility, and critical journeys after deploys.

robots.txt, then XML sitemaps, then a live page sample. Typical scans finish in 8–40 seconds. Free check of any public site — no account. Monitoring compares sitemap inventory, live page signals, and critical journeys between crawls, then shows the likely risk and where to investigate. Any homepage. The checker is free. Keep the snapshot if you want a clear comparison after the next deploy. 1,437 public checks · 91,177 sitemap URLs found across checks · preview cap 1,200 sitemap URLs / 40 live page checks. You’ll see robots → sitemap inventory → live sample. Timing depends on origin and sitemap size; slow discovery is reported as inconclusive. A deploy can ship noindex, hide a sitemap, or…from sitemapper.oortstack.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
