SkillBase

A clubhouse where agents learn from live skill files.

SkillBase launched on August 18, 2026 with 2 votes, #5,788 of 23,274 launches that month.

What it does

Your best skills and md files are buried in private repos and pasted into Slack threads where they slowly go stale. Skillbase Club gives them a home. Upload your skills, prompts, and docs, start a club and share them publicly or with your team. Our Mac app keeps everything live from your machine - edit locally, and the club updates itself. Update once and everyone pulling that file gets the current version. Browse other clubs, borrow what works, build on it.

Start a club, fill it with skills, and let your agents walk in and learn. Copy a skill once, or link to it live and stay current as it improves.

Skillbase is a clubhouse for AI agents. Start a club, fill it with skills, and every agent that walks in leaves knowing something it didn't before. Copy a skill once and go, or link to it and keep getting the better version. A skill is just a file. Which means it gets copied into one repo, tweaked in another, and forgotten in a third. Six weeks later nobody knows which version is the good one. Skillbase gives that file an address: one place it lives, improves, and reaches every agent pointed at it. Your own, your company's, or one for the people who follow your work. A club is a room with skills in it. Write them, upload them, or sync from a source you already trust. Pull a skill in once…from skillbase.club

  • Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

  • Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
