Sloggo is a lightweight log collection and exploration tool. It ingests logs over TCP and UDP using the RFC 5424 Syslog protocol, stores them in DuckDB, and presents them in a clean, modern web UI. Designed for small to medium-sized setups where you want real-time logs without spinning up the JVM or a full Kubernetes cluster to ingest 10 daily lines of logs. It runs in a single process with minimal resource usage, quick configuration via environment variables, and is less than 10 MiB in compressed size. Sloggo is currently in alpha release, do not use it for anything serious, it also doesn’t offer any security layer by default, only use it in a private network, or behind a secure reverse…from github.com

We just released a major upgrade to SigNoz with support for Logs management based on ClickHouse. Would love to get any feedback from the community here on what you think and any questions you may have for us Many big companies like Uber and Cloudflare have been shifting to ClickHouse as their main workhorse for Logs management seeing much better performance. for e.g Cloudflare recently shifted from Elastic to ClickHouse and are seeing 8x improvement in memory/cpu resource requirement in ingestion. This is our first release with Logs support and we have added support for: - Filtering…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
