Solve This OA For Me

Hi, I built a tool that generates draft responses to patent office actions in minutes instead of hours. The problem: Patent attorneys and agents spend hours responding to each office action by reading rejections, crafting arguments, and amending claims with track changes. It's tedious, expensive, and the backlog keeps growing. What it does: - Upload office action + patent docs (or paste text) - AI analyzes rejections and prior art - Generates arguments addressing each rejection - Creates amended claims with track-change visualization - Exports formatted response ready for USPTO Try it:…

What it does

Transform Office Actions into draft responses in minutes. AI-powered patent prosecution copilot for attorneys and inventors. Upload OA, get draft response with arguments and amended claims.

Open source, self-hosted tools for answering Office Actions: a structured patent viewer, an AI agent that reads the cited prior art, and an antecedent basis checker for amended claims.

Three open-source tools for patent prosecution. Self-hosted — you run them on your own machine with your own Anthropic API key. There's no hosted instance and no account to create. Your documents go from your machine straight to the Claude API under your own key — there's no server in between holding them. Responding to an Office Action means reading the art the examiner cited, working out which rejections to fight and which to amend around, and making sure the amendments hold up. Each tool covers one of those. They run independently — there's no shared pipeline between them. Enter a publication number and get claim dependency trees, reference numerals cross-linked to the figures, bounding…from solvethisoaforme.chyuang.com

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

  • I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
