I built this app over a week as a way to learn how to use TensorFlow with Mobilenets and to get some experience with Google Play (and partly as a dare). It's written in Java, as I wasn't able to find a Kotlin API for TFLite. It was built with Bazel. I'm pretty satisfied with the actual detector's performance, although I expect I could improve the UI a little bit. It's a weird UX, as you want it to be as simple and fast as possible (loss/notloss) but you also want it to have some sort of recognizability. I would love to hear your thoughts.…

Hi, this is a project I've been working on for about 2 months. I am definitely not a designer, so I tried to keep the GUI to minimum and really make the presentation about photos and as fluid as possible. Any feedback welcome! :)
- IBI built a local Elixir/Python pipeline to curate 14,000 RAW photosApr 2026 · qwelian.com · ▲5
I had 14,000 photos sitting on a drive and wanted an excuse to play with local vision models and Elixir/Phoenix. I originally tried to get LLaVA to tell me if a photo was 'good' or matched my style, but quickly learned that LLMs have terrible taste. I ended up demoting the LLM to just extract metadata, and built a custom CLIP/Ridge Regression pipeline to actually learn my preferences based on how I rate things. The stack is Phoenix/Oban on the orchestrator side, and Python/FastAPI/Instructor for the AI workers. Happy to answer any questions about the architecture,…
- MWmy weekend project, Imagestash - a bookmarklet+ for image collectors2011 · ▲9
http://imagestash.org/ Kind of like Instapaper for images. While surfing at home one evening I found the perfect desktop background ... for my work machine. I got to pondering the quickest way to save a random image so I could get to it on all of my devices, got a wee bit carried away with the technical possibilities, and this was the result. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
- IMI made a tool that turns images into videos to boost our Twitter reach2023 · clippulse.com · ▲9
Recently there were some changes to the Twitter algorithm and one of the most important ones was boosting video content even more in the feed, which got me thinking: "Why shouldn't we benefit from the algo changes and get a boost every time we are sharing some visuals?" So I spent the weekend building a tool that: - Turns your images into videos - Has 30 beautiful animated gradients that we can pick from - Is completely FREE I'd love to know your thoughts about it!
