What it does
Spex adds a keyboard-first interaction layer to Google Sheets. Press Alt / Option to reveal contextual KeyTips, then follow staged key sequences to reach supported menus, formatting, row, column, sheet, and navigation actions. Choose a Sheets-native or Excel-style keymap, with optional full-sheet dark mode.
Use Excel-style shortcuts in Google Sheets™ with on-screen KeyTips. Control menus, formatting, rows, columns, and sheets from the keyboard, with dark mode for the sheet grid too.
Spex is a browser extension that brings Excel-style sequential shortcuts to Google Sheets. Alt / Option reveals the keys available right on the page. Follow the KeyTips to control menus, formatting, rows, columns, sheets, and more without reaching for the mouse. 0.2.0 adds many more Excel-compatible Alt shortcuts for everyday spreadsheet work. There is no longer a separate Excel/Sheets mode: both live in one KeyTip flow. Press Alt / Option once to see Excel-compatible entry points and Sheets-specific actions together. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
