What it does
Hand tremors from Parkinson's can make using a mouse nearly impossible. SteadyMouse set out to solve this problem. By removing tremor motion from intended motion, and blocking accidental clicks, the mouse experience goes from a chaotic struggle to a peaceful reality.

Hand tremors from Parkinson's disease and Essential Tremor can make using a computer mouse nearly impossible. The cursor not only flies everywhere but accidental clicks also result in unexpected actions being taken. This of course is extremely frustrating. After my grandfather was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2003-2004 I saw this first hand and consequently set about solving the problem in software. SteadyMouse was born. The software contains both an anti-tremor motion rejection algorithm to keep things stable, and an accidental click blocking mechanism to only let through intended clicks.…

Based on the framerate-independent momentum simulation[0] that I used in my TPMouse script[1] If you've ever used a mouse with Infinite-scrollwheel such as Logitech, this utility for Windows basically recreates that functionality for any generic mouse. Actually, it's even better than that: this allows for simultaneous horizontal and vertical scrolling, so essentially it combines two of the best features of the Logitech MX Master -- horizontal wheel, and unlocked momentum scrolling -- into one intuitive control scheme. To enable horizontal scrolling, set the X-sensitivity to a value you…

Clipto MCP▲640Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…
