Steve Jobs in Motion
Experience Steve Jobs life through the videos that shaped it
What it does
Steve Jobs in Motion is an interactive journey through Steve Jobs’ life, told through the actual interviews, speeches, keynotes, and moments that captured it. Instead of simply reading about his story, you can watch Steve evolve, from a young entrepreneur building Apple, through Macintosh and NeXT, to his return to Apple and the launches of the iMac, iPod, and iPhone. Scroll through time, watch the moments, and experience the evolution of one of technology’s most influential innovators.
Steve Jobs in Motion — an interactive video timeline through the interviews, speeches, launches, and ideas that shaped his life.
Not a biography. A time machine. Watch the ambition, failure, focus, craft, and conviction evolve from a young founder into one of technology's most recognizable storytellers. Scroll through the years. The video in focus comes alive automatically. Move forward, reverse the story, or let serendipity shuffle the moments. The dates below represent when the original interview, presentation, or speech happened—not when archival footage was later uploaded. Different decades. Different companies. Different products. The recurring idea was simpler: technology could become personal, humane, expressive—and great work came from caring deeply about thefrom stevejobsinspire.netlify.app

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
