StoryMotion
StoryMotion is a whiteboard animation editor that combines the editing experience of Excalidraw and Keynote to make explainer animations. Everything is fully editable, both the visual elements and the timing of motion effects. Recently I added an AI feature that lets users upload documents like images or PDFs and generates both the visuals and the animation in a few minutes. I hope you find this useful. All feedback and comments are welcome.
StoryMotion launched on November 8, 2025 with 182 votes, #154 of 9,796 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches.
What it does
Create animated diagrams and flowcharts with hand-drawn style. Export as videos for presentations, courses, and social media
Create animated presentations that simplify complex systems with StoryMotion AI. Explain architecture, diagrams, and data flows — or any complex idea — step by step, then present, export as video, or embed anywhere.
So I built StoryMotion — one tool to sketch, animate, and export. Get your first animated presentation working in minutes. Need inspiration? Browse a showcase of animated explainers and see what's possible. Draw arrows, diagrams, formulas, or use thousands of assets from the Excalidraw community. Assign effects to your sketch, like zoom, fade, and more. Adjust the duration and timing. Export video to further edit in your favorite editor, like Canva, Capcut, After Effects, or Premiere Pro. Start free — upgrade when you need more exports, higher resolution, AI usage, and cloud storage. Need more? We'll build and deliver a solution tailored for yourfrom storymotion.video
