Stratosync – on-demand cloud sync for Linux with FUSE and rclone (BETA)

On-demand Linux cloud sync daemon — FUSE3 + rclone + SQLite - dmcbane/stratosync

What it does

A first-class Linux cloud sync daemon — on-demand virtual filesystem, multi-backend, conflict-aware. Stratosync brings the OneDrive/Google Drive desktop experience to Linux: files appear immediately in your filesystem, data is fetched on-demand when you open a file, changes upload automatically in the background, and conflicts are preserved rather than silently destroyed. ~/GoogleDrive/ ← FUSE3 virtual mount ├── Documents/ │ ├── report.pdf ← hydrated (local cache) │ └── draft.docx ← placeholder (metadata only, fetched on open) └── Photos/ └── 2025/ ← directory listing from remote index Why stratosync? Linux has excellent cloud sync tools, but none that provide all three: on-demand hydration…from github.com

    Bi-directional sync between Postgres and SQLite2023 · powersync.com · ▲356

Hi HN, Today we’re launching PowerSync, a Postgres<>SQLite bi-directional sync engine that enables an offline-first app architecture. That version of the system is still used in production worldwide and we’ve learnt a lot from its use cases and scaling. About a year ago we started on spinning off PowerSync as a standalone product that is…

Hey HN! I’ve written a bunch of WebSocket servers over the years to do simple things like state synchronization, WebRTC signaling, and notifying a client when a backend job was run. I realized that if I had a simple way to create a private, temporary, mini-redis that the client could talk to directly, it would save a lot of time. So we created DriftDB. In addition to the open source server that you can run yourself, we also provide https://jamsocket.live where you can use an instance we host on Cloudflare’s edge (~13ms round trip latency from my home in NY). You may have seen my…
