In plain words
Hypermass CLI is a command-line tool that streams live data from online sources directly to a local folder in real time. Users can subscribe to data streams and run a sync process to automatically fetch and store incoming data as it's published. Designed for developers who need to work with continuously updated datasets, it requires minimal setup and can be started or stopped easily from the terminal.

The Hypermass CLI delivers live data from streams to a folder on your machine, in real time as it's published. See the installation instructions (don't worry, they link back here when you're done). If you opted just to try it rather than install, remember to type ./hypermass (or hypermass.exe for windows) in the commands below rather than just hypermass . Subscribe just updates the configuration. Sync starts the live porcess that fetches data, so leave hypermass sync running. You'll see some messages appear about what sync is doing (you can kill it at any time with ctrl-C). Files arrive in <home folder>/hypermass/subscriptions/_254gGE43g as they're published, one file per payload. In the…from docs.hypermass.io

Hello HN, I am Sai Srirampur, one of the Co-founders of PeerDB. (https://github.com/PeerDB-io/peerdb). We spent the past 7 months building a solid experience to replicate data from Postgres to data warehouses. Now we're expanding to queues. PeerDB Streams provides a simple and native way to replicate changes as they happen in Postgres to Queues (Kafka, Redpanda, Google PubSub, etc). We use Postgres logical decoding to enable Change Data Capture (CDC). Blog post here: https://blog.peerdb.io/peerdb-streams-simple-native-postgres.... 10-min quickstart here:…
HyperDX Local – Open-source Datadog alternative for local debugging/dev2024 · github.com · ▲29Hi HN, Mike and Warren here! We’ve been building an open source local-dev-friendly mode for HyperDX (hyperdx.io). It's a single Docker container that lets you view logs, metrics, and traces for local development in a similar way you can use them for production (live tail, filter/correlate logs & spans, build charts, flamegraph, etc.) Basically, imagine you can run Datadog in a single container for local development. We does this by spinning up an OpenTelemetry collector, Clickhouse DB and HyperDX UI all in a single container - it only takes a few seconds to start and lets you start live…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
