Studiofront

A native macOS switcher for every Sanity Studio you manage

What it does

Do you manage many Sanity Studios across multiple organizations? I work at an agency and manage 20+ Sanity projects across several team organizations. Getting to the right Studio was always a pain, so I built a macOS menu bar app to fix it for myself. Open any Studio or document from anywhere, and navigate to it instantly. It also shows recently edited docs and live presence so I know what document's changed or who's currently in the Studio before I jump in.

A native macOS menu bar app for switching between Sanity Studios across every client and organization. Search, jump in, and see who's editing in real time.

Search across every Sanity organization. Then navigate and open. Search, hit enter, you're in. Full keyboard navigation means the Studio you need is never more than a few keystrokes away. Instant search finds the exact project. Pin your most-used Studios to keep them one click away. One click opens recently edited documents. Live presence shows who's editing right now, so you're never caught off guard. Studiofront is a native macOS app that lists every Sanity organization and project you belong to, so you can search and jump straight into the Studio you need — no browser tabs, no bookmarking sanity.io/manage. Studiofront reuses the login you already have from the Sanity CLI, or you can…from studiofront.nuotsu.dev

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up.
