Summer is where agency and marketing teams ask any client or campaign question in plain English and get verified answers.
Connect your platforms once and let your whole team ask campaign questions in plain English, with verified answers back. Connect your platforms once and let your whole team ask campaign questions in plain English, with verified answers back. Hey Summer, I just connected Google Ads and GA4. Which campaign is eating the budget? Brand search: 31% of spend, receipt attached, going to people your non-brand campaigns already found. Take it to 15% and shift the rest to non-brand. Client call in 20 minutes and I need to defend this. What's behind it? Checked against 4,206 conversions across Google Ads and GA4. 78% had a non-brand touch first. Receipt's ready before your call. I built Duck-UI, a web-based SQL editor that runs DuckDB entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. No backend required. The Problem: Every time I needed to query csv, parquet, or even to play with SQL, I had to either: (a) spin up a Jupyter notebook (b) use the CLI (c) upload to a hosted service. Friction at every step (TOO MUCH to load a csv or even to test some sql (study)... The Solution: DuckDB's WASM runtime lets us run SQL analysis client-side. Load CSV/JSON/Parquet files from disk or URL, write SQL, get results instantly. Data stays on your machine. What It Does: SQL editor…

Hi folks.. Co-founder and Head of Produck at MotherDuck. We're building a new type of analytics data platform based on an exciting open source project DuckDB! We just launched today, so please head over to our website and request an invite[0]! When we first started MotherDuck a little over a year ago, we realized that the modern data platforms like BigQuery and Snowflake are of exceptional quality. They're also very mature, packing diverse set of features across a variety of use cases. So it doesn't seem like a good idea to go and compete with them... But then we found DuckDB. DuckDB changes…

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
