Superpowered (YC W21) – The AI copilot for your meetings
Hey y’all, I’m Nikhil from Superpowered (https://superpowered.me), here with my cofounders Jordan and Ibrahim. We’re launching an AI tool that we’ve built. We got destroyed last time we launched on HN over 2 years ago. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26425318. We went through many product pivots since then and things got weird. At one point, we tried to train a neural net to predict the next app you'll use, lol. But, we’re a lot happier where we find ourselves now: AI copilot for your meetings. We don’t send any bots to your meetings, we don’t keep any…
In plain words
Superpowered is an AI tool that generates meeting notes without sending bots to join calls or storing recordings. Built by a Y Combinator team, it works as a copilot that listens to meetings and produces summaries for users. The product focuses on delivering accurate notes from conversations rather than offering additional meeting management features.

We don’t send any bots to your meetings, we don’t keep any recordings, we just give you really good notes. Check out https://superpowered.me. You’re likely thinking of your next savage comment. “Here comes another thin wrapper over OpenAI”. And, you’re likely funny and correct. But, before you dismiss us, please consider what we're hearing from our users: - “What can I say—I'm amazed! I've only really been using the notes today and I'm stunned by how helpful they are. I legit ran downstairs to show my wife what Superpowered is able to do. She's going to sign up now!” - “AI notes in Superpowered are the best thing to come out of AI thus far.” Anyways, don't knock it until you try it. Thanks. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Nikhil P.S. Jordan recorded a great video of our journey. There is an abbreviated version on Product Hunt. But, here's the full version for y'all: https://youtu.be/Zo16RzvtiKk P.P.S We're live on PH: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/superpowered-3. Would appreciate any support.

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Heya HN, I've been working on a reddit-like platform as my primary side project for the last few years. Doing a (very) soft launch today, mainly because I want to use it to encourage discussion of alternatives. How non.io works: 1. Free to browse, paid to interact. 2. Minimum subscription is $2 (though you can choose more). I take $1 to run the servers, everything left gets split evenly between everything you upvote that month. It's a simple model, but I hope it's a better one than the freemium model we've been relying on for the last few years. Fundamentally I feel like any ad-supported…
