Suwu: Omarchy inspired web remote shell

Make the remote shell enjoyable in agentic AI time.

What it does

Suwu is inspired by Omarchy — the opinionated, keyboard-first Arch + Hyprland setup from DHH and team. With that same spirit, Suwu aims to bring that same level of enjoyment to the web-based remote shell — a terminal you would actually want to use day after day.

Suwu makes the remote shell enjoyable in agentic AI time: your real shell in the browser, with a keyboard-driven tiling workspace, sessions that survive refreshes, and built-in tools for files, logs, and port forwarding.

Your real shell, in a browser tab. Suwu gives agents and humans alike a tiling terminal that keeps running when you don't — refresh, disconnect, come back tomorrow, pick up where you left off. The download lands in ~/.local/bin/suwu and walks you through onboarding. Split, focus, move, and swap tiles with fast key bindings or a click and drag — whichever fits the moment. And your sessions live in the layout: refresh the page, drop the connection, even restart the server, and every tile comes back exactly as you left it. Real shells with selection, copy/paste, scrollback, and notifications — comfortable for you, and a solid target for agent orchestrators like opencode , pi , and herdr that…from suwu.liyu1981.xyz

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up.
