Taggy – Open-source package to auto-tag input/text

Hello! I'm building a typescript based frontend package to tag/categorize any form of textual input. Straight to the demo -> https://open-taggy.github.io/demo/ Project focus: - lightweight (frontend package without any backend server stuff) - easy integration (currently npm/vanilla, frameworks to come) - free and open source It works on the basis of a pre-defined list of trigger words (glossary). With this approach there is no need for any external services or heavy backend/ML-things.

In plain words

Taggy is an open-source TypeScript package that automatically tags and categorizes text input using predefined trigger words. Designed for developers, it operates entirely on the frontend without requiring backend servers or machine learning services, making it lightweight and easy to integrate into projects via npm or vanilla JavaScript. The package is free and open source.

taggy is a typescript-based frontend package to automatically tag (or categorize) textual content. - taggy

taggy is a frontend package to automatically tag (or categorize) textual content. Tagging content in web-based editorial systems - i.e. assigning content to a selection of topics - is mostly still done manually and therefore tedious and error-prone. Especially when it comes to large amounts of data. Proprietary systems are often expensive and questionable in terms of data protection. An open, easy-to-start-with, easy-to-integrate and quite powerful frontend module to fit your tagging needs. Just define some trigger words or put in your existing glossary and start to tag your content. This is a list of words in JSON-format with categories and keywords. taggy categorizes the input based on…from github.com

Inspired by the design and UI/UX of apps like Notion, and utility of open-source apps like StackEdit, I decided to create a minimalistic, local-only WYSIWYG Markdown editor. Some features worth highlighting: - Monaco editor and Prettier integration for code snippets - Tables (apparently the holy grail of WYSIWYG editing) - Embeds (for CodePen, CodeSandbox and YouTube, most useful for HTML or JSON exports) - Accepts Markdown paste-in, and "exports"/generates HTML, Markdown and JSON outputs - Collaboration (with real-time awareness and initial commenting system, available only when…

    Open-source Postman alternative with type safety2023 · recipeui.com · ▲275

Hello! This is Jeane and Samuel and we’re building RecipeUI. RecipeUI is an open source Postman alternative that uses TypeScript to statically type and autocomplete requests. We built this because current API tools don’t deal with the fact that some APIs are just painful to work with. For us, it’s usually error after error as we try to figure out how to properly form the first request. We recorded a demo to show you how TypeScript helps us autocomplete a request correctly. https://youtu.be/O_Mly_p-g5s How does our platform improve the developer experience? The analogy is…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

  • Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
