TEA

A social app for stories, drama, and honest opinions

What it does

TEA is a social app for sharing the stuff you usually only tell your friends about: real-life stories, campus and office drama, confessions, opinions, and "Am I Wrong?" situations. We're currently building TEA and opening the waitlist for people who want to be among the first to try it.

The real-life social network for your unfiltered stories, campus gossip, office dilemmas, and

The unfiltered social network for real stories, campus tea, dilemmas, and live crowd verdicts is officially open for testing. On Reddit, everything gets buried in mega-threads. On TEA, the story is the social object and the verdict is the conversation. Something crazy happened at college or work? Post it in seconds as an Anonymous Ghost 👻 or your public handle. Before posting, TEA automatically identifies sensitive company names or locations and suggests 1-tap de-identifications. Add an "Am I Wrong?" poll. Readers cast their judgment instantly and see real-time percentage breakdowns. The community responds with emotional hypes, validations, and contextual takes that unpack the human side…from spilltea.lol

I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
