The Sorting Ceremony
Discover your Hogwarts House through a richer sorting quiz
What it does
The Sorting Ceremony is a more immersive Harry Potter identity quiz experience designed for fans who want more than random results. Our House Quiz uses deeper personality logic and a unique Final Choice mechanic, so users can see both their strongest match and the house they truly choose. We’re also building a connected wizarding identity experience with Patronus meanings, rare result pages, and wand quiz systems designed for exploration, sharing, and replayability.

Hey folks, I built Hisorty, a small daily game where you sort historical events in chronological order (strongly inspired by Wordle mechanics). Each day you get 6 events and 3 attempts to place them correctly. I found it surprisingly tricky to design those puzzles so the difficulty is just about right. Would love feedback on: - difficulty balance - UI/UX - whether the concept feels engaging long-term Happy to answer any questions about how I built it.

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
