The world’s 1st 2mm fidget spinner ring
Precision-built calm you can wear — smooth endlessly ring
The world’s 1st 2mm fidget spinner ring launched on December 3, 2025.
What it does
Feels like I'm bringing a tiny piece of hardware into a software party 😂 Hope you don't mind me crashing the scene with a 2mm spinning ring. Spinity is a 2mm-thin precision spinning ring engineered with micro-bearings that deliver a real 20-second free spin. Most “spinner rings” only imitate rotation — they’re loose shells that wobble, scrape, or stop within a few seconds. We built an actual micro-bearing rail inside a 2mm profile, combining EDC engineering with minimal jewelry design.
Numeno creates mechanical jewelry featuring precision-bearing spinner rings with a slim 2.2 mm profile and independently rotating outer ring. Designed to be worn, touched, and spun.

Over the past few months I’ve been experimenting with how small a functional bearing-based mechanism can get while still feeling smooth, durable, and useful. This project started from a simple question: How thin can a real, free-spinning bearing be while still handling continuous rotation? Most “spinner rings” you see online cheat by simulating rotation — there’s no real bearing, just loose tolerance metal sliding on metal. True micro-bearing rotation needs precision, tight tolerances, and high surface finish, which is difficult when everything needs to be wearable on a finger. So I tried to…
- A2A 2mm micro-bearing ring that spins like a real fidget spinnerDec 2025 · ▲9
My motivation was pretty simple: every “spinning ring” I tried felt a bit fake. They don’t actually spin — not like a real bearing. So I wanted to see if I could make one that truly does. At the end of the day it’s still just a ring. A small, minimal piece of jewelry. But it happens to hide a tiny bearing that can hit around 800 RPM with a single flick. That contrast is what makes it fun. The way I think about it is this: it’s like a normal-looking car that quietly turns out to fly. Nothing loud or showy — until you decide to reveal what it can actually do. If you’ve used a good fidget…

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it.
