Open source, 3D rendering toolkit for Dart/Flutter

What it does
Thermion is an open source 3D rendering toolkit for Flutter and/or Dart! Supports Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS and Web, and built atop the Filament Physically Based Rendering engine.
Cross-platform 3D rendering for Dart and Flutter.
Thermion brings Google’s physically based Filament renderer to Dart and Flutter. Load glTF models with PBR materials and skeletal animation, then render them across iOS, Android, desktop, and the browser through a single Dart API. These scenes are written in pure Dart — not Flutter widgets — compiled to WebAssembly and rendered live with Filament. Each viewer boots automatically as it scrolls into view and stops when you scroll away, so only the scenes near the viewport are running. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom. They’re the same examples_lib scenes that power the standalone gallery , each running in its own cross-origin-isolated iframe. Thermion separates rendering from Flutter…from thermion.dev

I'd like to share Thermion, an open source 3D rendering toolkit I made for Flutter and/or Dart. This came about when I needed a 3D renderer for a Flutter app[0] I was building. At the time, the only off-the-shelf option was to embed Unity, which wasn't ideal for a few reasons - unstable build process, compositing and transparency issues, and licensing uncertainty, just to name a few. In any event, frankensteining Unity (C#) together with Flutter (Dart) didn't seem like a great solution. After browsing for alternative renderers, I discovered Filament[1], an open-source, cross-platform…

Rust GUI Library via Flutter2024 · cjycode.com · ▲301Hi, I made a bridge (https://github.com/fzyzcjy/flutter_rust_bridge v2.0.0) between Flutter and Rust, which auto translates syntaxes like arbitrary types, &mut, async, traits, results, closure (callback), lifetimes, etc. The goal is to make a bridge between the two, seamlessly as if working in one single language. Then, as an example, I showed how to write Rust applications with GUI by utilizing Flutter. That is discussed in the link in details. To play with it, please visit the GitHub repo, or refer to the end of the article for detailed folders and commands. When I…

Many years ago, I made VJ softwares (to mix live visuals in clubs) for unexpected platforms like the Game Boy Advance, the Playstation 2 and the Raspberry Pi. This year, I’m back with a new web-app: Pikimov. Inspired by Photopea (a free Photoshop clone), I created this web-based motion design & video editor as an alternative to After Effects, to fill empty void. It's free, without signup, without cloud uploads (your files stay on your machine), and your projects are not used for AI models training.
