Time Precision

Every timezone you care about. One glance. Zero clutter.

What it does

Time Precision docks a slim rail to the edge of your Windows desktop and shows every timezone you've pinned, always visible, never in the way. It expands on hover and tucks back out of sight otherwise — no browser tab or phone needed. 233 cities across 11 languages, interface and label language set independently. 9 built-in themes, drag-to-reorder zones, and pinned apps for quick launch. Free, no account required.

Time Precision is the Windows desktop widget with 9 finishes, automatic edge docking, and 233 cities — free forever.

Time Precision docks to the edge of your screen as a hairline of brass and glass. Hover it, and every city you track opens into a clean readout — the hour, the date, the zone — then folds away the instant you look elsewhere. No window to manage, no taskbar clutter — just a thin edge that knows what time it is everywhere that matters to you. At rest it's a 46-pixel strip against the left or right edge — logo, title, and a gear. Everything else is out of sight until you ask for it. Rest the cursor on a single tile and a card opens beside it: full city name, live seconds, the date in your chosen format, and the zone abbreviation. Move on and it folds away. Every major city in every country,…from sublimearts.io

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
