Timeretain – Track, visualize, and export your hours
Hi HN, I made this because I needed to track how much I work and on what. Timeretain allows you to track time using a fast, private feed of time cards. It displays your stats next to it, and you can filter to zoom in on a description or tag. You can always export what's in view. It's different from other time trackers because it's powerful and minimalist. Here's how I use it. I need to hold myself accountable. I want to know how much I've worked in a week, and Timeretain immediately shows that — no need to create extensive 'reports'. Next, a log of what I did is useful for standup. I can get…

Tired of bloated time trackers? Here's a dead-simple, free one I built2025 · apps.apple.com · ▲16Hey HN! I made TimeAnt because my dad needed a simple way to track his time at work and he didn’t like the other apps out there because they were too complicated or had way too many features. So, I built an app that just does the basics: track work hours, meetings, breaks, lunch and optionally lets you add notes - and that's it. It’s totally free, works both online and offline, and doesn’t require an account (but you can create one if you want). The goal was to keep it super simple and let you focus on tracking time without all the fluff. It also gave me a chance to learn Swift and build my…

This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. Here are some examples of transformations it can make: Golden gate bridge: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry/ma... The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
