TopBoards
Turn your audience into a market
What it does
TopBoards turns attention into a market. Create a board in minutes, bring your audience, and keep 50% of the net bids you generate. Businesses, products, or fans compete publicly for rank—the highest bid takes the top. Visitors, bids, rankings, and outbound clicks are public, so buyers can see exactly what the attention is worth. You bring the crowd. TopBoards runs the market.
Spin up a public leaderboard in minutes and turn your audience into revenue. Or bid your pick to #1 on any board, where the highest bid takes the top and the traffic is public.
TopBoards handles the code, the payments, all of it. The audience is the part nobody can clone. Spin up a board around something people already care about (a following, a subreddit, a scene). TopBoards handles rankings, payments, tracking, and payouts. Get your tracked link, bring people in, and keep 80% of the net bids you drive . No caps. Already a board for your idea? Promote it instead of starting a duplicate: grab a tracked link and keep 80% of the net bids you bring in. Interested in this project? Invest and see how far it can go... Subscribe for the drama: the wins, the flops, and whatever happens next. Start or promote any board and keep 80% of every bid you bringfrom topboards.lol

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
