TradeLogger
Hey, This is my second launch on HN. I love coding but I am also a trader and I made this web app to help myself keep consistent with my trading strategy. It's super simple, just signup, set your strategy and upload a screenshot / photo of your trade. It will take care of all the rest, it helps me a lot as it feels like a middleman making sure you're taking the correct trades. Thanks to all, Michael
TradeLogger launched on June 19, 2025 with 2 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
A modern, intuitive trading journal — just upload a screenshot and let our AI do the rest. Analyze trades, track progress, and sharpen your strategy. Just upload a screenshot or photo :)
Stop wasting time logging your trades. You can turn trade screenshots into a complete journal in less than 5 seconds. Finally, you can actually see which setups are profitable. There’s no fee to get started—you get a 7-day free trial if you opt for the paid plans.
Start by uploading a screenshot of your trade. Once that's uploaded, the system will prompt you to fill in the necessary fields: the symbol, your entry, your exit, and the size of the trade. Don't forget to tag the specific setup and note down how you felt during the process. After logging everything, review your weekly performance using the calendar view; this lets you clearly identify which setups actually generate profits and which habits are costing you money. You can begin without any initial cost. For both the weekly and yearly options, we provide a 7-day free trial. Simply cancel before the seventh day, and you won't owe a dime. You get this totally free forever. Plus, you can try it…from tradelogger.dev

It’s built for traders who want more than just a logbook—Plancana syncs with platforms like MetaTrader in real-time, uses AI to generate personalized trading plans, and even tracks your mood to tackle the emotional side of trading. We created Plancana because we noticed a gap in the market: most trading journals are just data dumps, leaving traders to figure out what went wrong (or right) on their own. Plancana…

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
